Part-Time Controller & CFO Services: We offer part-time Controller & CFO services to provide as much or as little assistance on an as-needed basis (for start-up and small business). Compilation & Write-Up: We provide Compilation & Write-up of financial statements to businesses such as sole-proprietorships, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations. The firm will compile the financial statements of businesses that are looking to make significant internal managerial decisions, measure the performance of prior period against the current period, understand the relationship between categories within the financial statements, or as part of regulatory requirement. Compilation & Write-Up can broadly be defined as the after-the-fact summarization of your accounting transactions whereby we maintain your general ledger based upon the source documentation generated by your business. We assemble financial statements using your data but do not provide any assurance on the financial statements. Compilations are useful in assisting small, non-public companies. During a compilation, the data is simply arranged into conventional financial statement form. Frequency upon which your general ledger is updated could be monthly, quarterly or even annually. However, in most cases we recommend that the general ledger be updated at least once prior to year end anytime from October to November so that a trial balance can be generated for year end tax planning purposes.
Bookkeeping: This level of service goes beyond that of Compilation & Write-up in that the source documents such as checks and invoices are also being generated for your business.
